About this User Manual​

This manual covers the CIMON Canvas product line: setup, the menu bar and toolbar, pages, and project basics.

CIMON's HMI (Human-Machine Interface) product line spans a few distinct pieces of hardware and software. Knowing how they relate to each other will help you follow the rest of this manual:

  • Xpanel — CIMON's HMI hardware: the physical touchscreen panel installed on the factory floor.
  • Canvas Designer — CIMON's software application used to design a Xpanel project's UI and logic.
  • Runtime — the software environment and OS that CIMON provides on the Xpanel, which executes a project built in Canvas.
  • Gateway — CIMON's curated set of industrial drivers and protocols, maintained for compatibility with CIMON's HMI products, used to connect a project to field devices.

CIMON Education​

CIMON offers free educational videos and webinars on how to use CIMON products. Users can watch training videos on CIMON’s YouTube channel.
