About this User Manual​

This section will provide a broad overview and information regarding setup, the menu bar and toolbar, pages, and project basics. The help file can be navigated via the left side of the screen. The sidebar on the left lists all the pages and allows for easy navigation of the Canvas features' help file and each object's functionality.

In the appendix, users will be able to find more detailed information about what each clickable item is on a specific object.

The left sidebar organizes this manual into groups that mirror how a project moves from build to deployment:

  • Getting Started — setup and onboarding, including this page.
  • Designer — the Canvas software used to design the UI and functionality that will be deployed to a CIMON XPanel HMI. Device communication and driver configuration are also covered in this section.
  • Runtime — the software infrastructure and OS that CIMON provides on the XPanel HMI, which runs the project you built in Designer.

CIMON Educational​

CIMON has free educational videos and webinars on how to use CIMON products. Users can watch training videos on CIMON’s YouTube channel. Users can also sign up for webinars for in-depth CIMON products and software tutorials. Users can also contact support at support@cimon.com to ask questions or schedule a one-on-one training session.
